Successful South Australian reinsman Mark Billinger achieved a career-best five wins on SA BOTRA finals night at Globe Derby Park on Saturday.
Billinger, 44, landed his own Rap Artist and the Emma Stewart-trained pair of Our Celebrity and Rocknroll Magic in BOTRA finals along with Stewart’s Metro Mike in the Dash For Cash and Top Of The Rock for good friend Reg Trevean.
“No doubt, it was a great thrill,” Billinger said.
“Heading into the meeting, with no bad luck, I thought had four good winning chances – Top Of The Rock was the bonus.”
“I had driven four winners four times previously but this was my first five.
“I am lucky to have been able to pick up drives for top trainers.
“With Emma asking me to drive her horses in South Australia lately I have picked up some really good drives and I am happy to help out if Gavin (Lang) opts not to come to Adelaide.”
Billinger currently sits fourth on the South Australian Drivers Premiership with 53 winners and last year celebrated driving his 1000th career win.
