Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) is a statutory body whose role is to oversee all harness racing activity in Victoria.  We are committed to developing a vibrant and sustainable harness racing industry which promotes participation, integrity and racing excellence and grow returns to all our stakeholders.  We run around 450 race meetings per year at 26 tracks throughout Victoria.

About the role

We have a rare opportunity for an enthusiastic person to undertake a traineeship at Tabcorp Park in Melton.   As a trainee you will be exposed to and trained in the many day to day track and grounds maintenance operations whilst undertaking Certificate 3 in Track Maintenance through Bendigo Harness Racing Training Centre.

About you

To be considered for this role, you will ideally be passionate about racing and/or have a desire to work in a sporting environment and possess:

 

  • Enthusiasm and eligibility to complete the Certificate 3 in Racing Services (Track Maintenance)
  • Ability to work within the team to ensure that all tasks are completed
  • Good communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • An interest to learn basic mechanical and handyman skills
  • Valid Victorian Driver’s license
  • Willingness to obtain a medium rigid heavy vehicle license
