APTS graduate Endsino was purchased for just $25,000 and has already netted connections $127,993 in just 22 starts.
The 2016 Pryde’s Easifeed Australasian Premier Trotting Sale (APTS) is shaping up as potentially the best yet.
The APTS has proven a success since its inception in 2013 with the first two crops of graduates having already won stakes of over $800,000.
The sale, which will be held at Tabcorp Park Melton on Sunday March 13 from 1pm, will feature 47 lots going under the hammer.
There has never been a better time to race a trotter, with prizemoney in Victoria continuing to rise ($5,460,250 in season 2010/11 to $8,251,820 in 2014/15).
In 2014/15 trotters in Victoria earned on average $10,238 each, compared to $8,105 for pacers.
They are generally cheaper to purchase than pacers and yet provide greater average earnings.
At Bendigo on Thursday night there are nine APTS graduates racing in semi-finals of the Prince and Princess of Speed and the Breed for Speed.
Endsino is the headline act from the APTS to date.
Purchased for just $25,000 from the 2013 APTS he has already won $127,993 from just 22 starts.
