LADY drivers across New South Wales have performed strongly in the first week of February as the fundraising and awareness campaign for the Women’s Cancer Foundation Ovarian Cancer Institute continues.

Harness Racing NSW is donating $200 to the WCF each time a lady driver wins a race across the state.  After Sunday’s Bathurst meeting concluded, a total of 17 races have been won by reinswomen and consequently the donation tally is $3,400.  The campaign will continue until March 12.

In addition WCF Ambassador Emma Turnbull has sought out 63 personal sponsors and each of them will donate $20 every time she drives a winner.  Emma drove one winner on Sunday afternoon at Bathurst resulting in another $1,260 going to the foundation.

In another show of support from the harness racing industry, the owners of New Zealand filly Our Dream About Me will donate $600 after she won Saturday night’s Harness Breeders NSW Pink Diamond at Tabcorp Park Menangle.
