Chris Alford leads the Melton Saddlery Victorian Driver of the Year title.

With six winners in the first week of the season Chris Alford is the early pacesetter on the 2015-16 Melton Saddlery Victorian Driver of the Year table but Kerryn Manning and Jodi Quinlan are making early moves.

Alford, who tied with Gavin Lang in last year’s SBG Accountants Metropolitan Driver of the Year title, starts a two-week stint on the sidelines due to a suspension at midnight tomorrow, which should see the lead change fairly quickly.

Josh Aiken is easily atop the Muir Equine Supplies Victorian Concession Driver Title with four wins – three clear of an eight strong bunch on one win apiece.

Aiken is also equal third outright on the state premiership alongside Jodi Quinlan, whose wins all came last night via a magnificent quartet of victories at Cranbourne.

Kerryn Manning today drove home all legs of the quaddie at Horsham, an extraordinary performance and a quartet which saw her move to five wins for the season and second placing overall on the state title.

Greg Sugars, Boris Devcic, Kate Gath and Peter Craven, who has two winners to his name so far today at Horsham, are all on three wins for the season so far.

Matthew Craven and David Aiken are level pegging in the Renown Silverware State Trainer of the Year title with four wins each, one clear of Andy Gath, Devcic, Lance Justice and Nicole Molander on three triumphs each.

There are no multiple winners on the Taylors Metropolitan Trainer of the Year or the SBG Accountants Metropolitan Driver of the Year table with just the one meeting held to date.
