Trainers and Drivers are reminded of the following driver declaration deadlines:-

Tuesday race meeting - close 9am Monday

Wednesday race meeting - close 9am Tuesday

Thursday race meeting - close 9am Wednesday

Friday race meeting - close 9am Thursday

Saturday night race meeting - close 9am Thursday

Saturday/Sunday NON TAB or Day meeting - close 9am Thursday

Closing times may vary occasionally due to public holidays.

It is expected ALL trainers notify any change in driver prior to this deadline.

Any driver changes received after this deadline will receive an automatic $50 fine.  Depending on the circumstances both the trainer and driver may receive a fine or Stewards may take further action and issue a more severe penalty.

RQ Officials are not responsible to continually chase trainers for a driver.

Trainers are encouraged to talk directly to their driver prior to the deadline to ensure their availability rather than just engage a driver without any direct contact with that driver.

Trainers are also reminded that any changes to racing colours are also to be notified by the above deadlines.  If no contact is received from the trainer RQ Racing Office staff will allocate racing colours at their disretion.

Should the allocated colours not be available on race night and club colours are used a $20 fee will apply.  A $20 fee also applies to any trainer who races their horse in a set of colours different to what is advertised in the racebook or formguides.
