The 2014/15 Australian Pacing Gold Grand Circuit action has delivered with superb drama, record times and thrilling finishes.

As it stands at the halfway mark of the season, the Belinda McCarthy trained For A Reason holds a narrow lead over Kiwi ace Christen Me while Adore Me and My Hard Copy are sitting right behind the leaders.

To be crowned Grand Circuit champion is till wide open with a myriad of contenders and only four major events remain; the Victoria Cup, Hunter Cup, Inter Dominion and the Auckland Cup.

The Queensland Pacing Championship started the season when For A Reason downed local hero Avonnova, Adore Me smashed the national record to claim the New Zealand Cup, Christen Me recorded the fastest Miracle Mile time when de defeated reigning champion Beautide while My Hard Copy stormed to victory in an epic WA Pacing Cup at Gloucester Park recently.

Now, it’s the business end of the season, so it’s time to stand up and be counted.

Several high quality performers could easily step up and take the title and be crowned the Grand Circuit champion.

Can Christen Me go back to back and claim the title again? The current Miracle Mile champion continues to race in sparkling form and looms as the frontrunner to secure the title once again.

But harness fans are salivating at the month ahead with a raft of mouthwatering battles set to take place where so many questions will be answered.

Who is the premier pacer? Who is Australia’s best? Who holds the mantle as the best pacer from New Zealand? Can Beautide bounce back? Which Emma Stewart trained pacer is the best?

All this and more looms in the coming weeks so strap yourself in and enjoy the ride.
