Seventy-two horses have been nominated for the Del-Re National Food Group Hunter Cup and 58 for the TAB.com.au Victoria Cup, the two feature races of Harness Racing Victoria’s Summer of Glory carnival.

The early nominations deadline was noon today, enabling the TAB to set fixed odds future markets on the two $400,000 Group 1 events.

All the big guns are in the mix – Inter Dominion and Miracle Mile champion Beautide, three-time New Zealand Cup winner Terror To Love and reigning New Zealand Cup hero Adore Me to name a few.

Restrepo, Keayang Cullen, Guaranteed, Lennytheshark and reigning Victoria Cup and Hunter Cup winners For A Reason and Christen Me are also among nominations for the Summer of Glory gems.

The Summer of Glory carnival kicks off with Victoria Cup Night on Saturday, January 31, followed by Hunter Cup Night seven days later on Saturday, February 7, both meetings at Victoria’s home of harness racing, Tabcorp Park Melton.

Nominations have come in from far and wide for the feature classics, with the best pacers from throughout Australasia to captivate fans.
