As an additional bonus, John and Kay Campbell of Loddon Valley Stud will be providing Stallion Services to the winners of each respective Final.
These time-honored events are highly sought after on the Harness Racing calendar, with astute stables regularly setting horses for this particular Series. Recent winners of the Pacing Series have included horses of the calibre of Sapphire Swayze, Restrepo and Bitobliss, and in the Trotting Series The Boss Man, Tendaho and Living Bonus.
Another important highlight of the day will see the Harness Racing Training Centre Bendigo sponsoring the “Harness Racing Training Centre Central Victorian Concession Drivers Championship”. Featuring a Concession Drivers race across various classes at each of the Maryborough, Boort, Wedderburn and Charlton Central Victorian Championship Meetings, the Concession Drivers Championship will include the provision of trophies in the form of $200 Fuel Vouchers to the winning trainers and drivers of each race, as well as a trophy to be presented to the concession driver accumulating the most points over the four race Series.
Mr. John Randles, the Executive Officer of the Harness Racing Training Centre Bendigo, says that: “Securing race drives is not always that easy for some of our younger drivers just starting off in the Industry, and we proud to be able to do our part in fostering their development.
“Having the Central Victorian Concession Drivers Championship running in conjunction with the Central Vic Series will provide a great opportunity to develop and showcase some of our young driving talent."
It is hoped that trainers will support the Series and help the development of our new driving talent by nominating their horses for the respective races.
