Member for Campbelltown, Mr Bryan Doyle, visited the construction site of the highly anticipated Menangle Park Training Centre last week and was most enthusiastic about the multi-million dollar development in his electorate.

Construction has commenced on the Menangle Road intersection, training track, stables and day yards with an expected completion date of mid 2015.

The Training Centre has received multiple expressions of interest from local, interstate and overseas trainers.

"Bryan is extremely impressed with what has already been established at Menangle Park by the Principal Club and was delighted to see the training centre works commence "said HRNSW CEO John Dumesny

Dumesny said the training centre will compliment the world class facility at Menangle Park and will future proof the precinct as the harness racing centre of excellence in Australasia.

"Tabcorp Park Menangle has proven to be the best circuit outside of North America and the Club and HRNSW are the leaders in integrity with the establishment of the Retention Facility.

"The Miracle Mile and Inter Dominion carnivals are certainly the major events on the national harness racing calendar, which augurs well for the future of the properties.

"The innovation of the joint venture Harness Media Centre between HRNSW and the Principal Club demonstrates the giant steps forward by the harness racing industry in NSW into new age technology."

Harness Racing NSW (HRNSW) is the controlling body for harness racing in New South Wales with responsibility for commercial and regulatory management of the industry including 31 racing clubs across the State.  HRNSW is headed by an industry-appointed Board of Directors and is independent of Government.
