Suave Stuey Lombo wins tonight?s Cordina Sprint at Tabcorp Park Menangle.

After much hype Suave Stuey Lombo finally earned his spot in next week’s SEW-Eurodrive Miracle Mile.

All it took was a 1:52 performance in tonight’s Cordina Chicken Farms Sprint at Tabcorp Park Menangle.

And straight after hopping off the horse, driver Lauren Panella declared they would go much faster next week.

“I can promise you there will be a very fast mile run next weekend,” she said.

“Tonight was just a little bit of a trial for him.

“He has a few quick miles underneath him.”

Suave Stuey Lombo did not have to do too much work to find the lead from barrier eight.

After crossing Bettor Bet Black and rating the opening quarter in 26.8s, Panella was able to control the race.

With a mid-race challenge from Bling It On, Suave Stuey Lombo rolled through the final three quarters in 30.4, 27.2 and 27.6s.

Bettor Bet Black, who had the ‘gun run’ behind the leader, finished second while Mark Dennis flashed home for third.

Trainer Shane Tritton, who prepares both Suave Stuey Lombo and Mark Dennis, is glad to have a runner in the Miracle Mile.

“It’s good to be in a Miracle Mile . . . it’s exciting and we got through tonight,” he said.
