Trial Schedule:-

1. Albion Park Tuesday

2. Redcliffe Thursday

3. Albion Park Friday (Day meetings only)

4. Marburg Saturday (Trials before first race)

 

  • Trials to be conducted between races when the gap between races is no shorter than 35 minutes.
  • The order in which trials are placed are at the discretion of the Handicappers, taking into account any special requests.
  • No more than the maximum number of horses that can be safely accommodated at each venue will be accepted. (refer bottom of page)
  • Where possible trials to be staggered to allow sufficient time for track staff to maintain the track for racing.
  • On occasion due to the times allocated between races it may be necessary to place trial/s after the last race.
  • Should the number of race horses competing at the race meeting reach or fall just short of the maximum number of horses that can be safely accommodated the trials will be cancelled.
  • Balloting from trials may be required to ensure the maximum number of horses that can be safely accommodated is not exceeded.  Where ballots are required, preference in selection will be given to horses in the following order:
    1. have not yet qualified from the mode of start nominated for;
    2. the need to re-qualify to race (under bar or have not raced or trialled in over 6 months);
    3. the need to trial to be re-included in the barrier draw (ODM, ODS, RODM, RODS).
    4. C Grade Driver gaining experience required to obtain licence to drive at race meetings.
  • Education trials may be abandoned at any time.
  • Any decision by RQ Officials regarding placement of trials, balloting, barrier draws or the composition of the trial fields will be final.
  • At all times the race meeting will have priority over the trials.

Stalls available: 116

Maximum number of horses that can be safely accommodated: 126 (by re-using stalls)

Stalls available: 86

Maximum number of horses that can be safely accommodated: 96 (by re-using stalls/allocating tie ups)

If it is not possible to re-use the stalls required to safely cater for each horse the above maximum numbers may be varied.

Vale Wally Marshall
