Guaranteed, who won the Swan Hill Pacing Cup, will be targeting the Kilmore feature this Sunday.

The Swan Hill Pacing Cup on Saturday night was a raging success, says local club president Arthur Graham.

A big crowd was on course and early reports suggest on-course turnover was significantly stronger than any other country trots meeting for the week, and, while overall turnover figures won’t be compiled until early next month when corporate bookmakers’ fixed-odds data is compiled, the result is expected to be strong.

“The committee has done a fantastic job making sure the track and facilities were ready for the big crowd and the hectic racing,” Graham said.

“Everybody who attended was full of praise afterwards.

“As a club we are very hopeful Guaranteed can bring us our first Swan Hill Pacing Cup/Kilmore Pacing Cup double victory this Sunday.

“We have with some of our winners in previous years come very close to the double, however Guaranteed is a very smart horse and we wish Emma, Gavin and the connections all the best.”

The Swan Hill Pacing Cup was the first of Harness Racing Victoria's TAB.com.au Trots Country Cups Carnival meets and the first Trots Selfies competition was run and won on the night with a $1000 TAB voucher the prize.

The Trots Selfies competition (facebook.com/trotselfies) will continue at Kilmore Pacing Cup day this Sunday.

The Swan Hill Trotting Club’s next meeting is on Tuesday, November 4 (Melbourne Cup Day).
