Major Bronski wins.

Major Bronski, a royally-bred, well-performed son of supersire Art Major, has been bought by a syndicate of Victorian breeders and will stand at the Morley Park stud, Shepparton, of one of Australia's leading studmasters Stephen O'Donoghue.

His service fee will be $1250 payable on live foal or $1000 payable on 42 day positive test. Generous breeding packages are available.

Major Bronski had only 24 starts as a two and three-year-old, winning 13 times and running up a stake score of $94,279. He took a record of 1:56.1 at three.

A multiple Group placegetter and dual Australian Pacing Gold finalist, Major Bronski at one stage won nine races on end highlighted by a heat of the Victoria Derby, in which he defeated 2010 3YO of the Year For A Reason.

But for his injury in a paddock accident as a three-year-old, there would have been no doubt that Major Bronski would have greatly improved his race record.

Chris Alford, who drove him in the Victoria Derby, said: "Major Bronski had amazing ability. He would have gone straight to the top", while Luke McCarthy, who partnered him to four successes, described him as one of the best young horses he ever handled.

Blessed with all attributes necessary for stallion greatness, Major Bronski carries an impeccable pedigree made up of champion sires, champion racehorses and champion broodmares.

Major Bronski is a son of the mighty Art Major 1:48.4, a champion pacer of his time, and today one of the world's leading sires with 26 in the 1:50 list and progeny earnings of almost $90-million. He figures as the sire of two of Australia's current top juveniles in Follow The Stars and Bamako Mali.

Bronski Gorgeous, the dam of Major Bronski, was one of the most successful daughters of decorated sire Fake Left. She won a total of 23 races - including two at Group level - and $210,622 in stakes and took a mark of 1:57.3.

Besides Major Bronski, she is the dam of Brigadier Bronski 1:54.9 ($172,105), the QBred 2YO Triad winner General Bronski 1:53.7 ($160,729), Breeze On Bronski 1:56.8 and this season's smart two-year-old Admiral Bronski 1:57.9.

Bronski Gorgeous ranks as a half-sister to a fine pacer in Sir Galvinator 1:56.8, the 2005 3YO of the Year, winner of six Group races and $516,723, and Esprit De Kayjay 1:51.6 ($429,142), both Australian Pacing Gold champions.

While Blythbank Del (1:58.5), the third dam of Major Bronski, was a cups winner herself and left a standout performer in Benefactor 1:56.4 ($263,798), a winner of four Group races.

The first three dams of Major Bronski have collectively produced 27 foals for 21 winners - 13 in 2:00 - and they have won 256 races and $2.3-million stakes between them.

Not only is Major Bronski a member of the noted Abercrombie sireline, but on his distaff side he carries an unbroken line of champion sires in Fake Left, Land Grant and Armbro Del.

Major Bronski is a superb looking stallion with great conformation and has been greatly admired since his arrival in Victoria. He looks certain to add interest to the Goulburn Valley breeding scene.
