A major benefit of buying at the annual Garrards 2YO Trialling Sale will be seen at Tabcorp Park, Menangle, this Saturday night.

It's the conduct of the inaugural Group Three $30,000 C.J. Garrard Classic, which is open only to graduates of the annual Garrards 2YO Trialling Sale, which is held each December at the same venue.

From just 50 catalogued lots last December, an outstanding field has been drawn, with eight of the nine runners being winners, and several dual winners.

In addition to prizemoney, Classic runners are seeking NSW Breeders Challenge Owners Bonus Certificates, worth $2500 each, for the winner, first filly to finish and first Breeders Challenge eligible-and-sustained runner.

This sale proves that you don't have to spend a fortune to buy a winner, and one with a future, capable of contesting Group events.

Take young Luke Micalleff, from Young, who paid just $1000 for a Red River Hanover filly which now races as Amanda Jay, a winner at Parkes last Saturday, which has drawn barrier two in the Classic.

Three fillies are included in the Classic, and all are winners.

The 2014 edition of the Garrards 2YO Trialling Sale will be held at Tabcorp Park, Menangle, on Sunday, December 7.

The catalogue is capped at 50 nominations, which have already been received.

To ensure your copy of the catalogue, please email Sale Co-Ordinator John Coffey on triallingsale@bigpond.com or by calling 0468 994 087.
