Stewards today inquired into the analyst findings regarding the urine sample provided by licensee Ms Robyne Joseph at the Redcliffe track on the 1 July 2014 which upon analysis revealed the presence of Benzodiazepine above the permitted threshold.
After considering all the evidence Ms. Joseph was found guilty pursuant to Rule 250 (1) (a) which reads:
A driver commits an offence if – A sample taken from him is found upon analysis to contain a
substance banned by Rule 251.
After hearing submissions on penalty Ms. Joseph’s licence to drive was suspended for a period of two weeks.
Following the inquiry Ms. Joseph supplied a clearance sample and will be eligible to return to driving on 15 July 2014.
