Unbeaten local colt It Is I looms as the horse to beat in Saturday night?s $100,000 ?Christian Cullen? Alabar Victoria Derby at Moonee Valley after the barrier draw was conducted live on Radio Sport 927?s Racing Central today.

The David Murphy-trained and driven three-year-old has been installed the $2.30 nominal favourite for the 2570 metre classic after drawing perfectly in gate four.

Affectionately known as the ?Dunnstown Destroyer?, It Is I is yet to taste defeat in nine starts for novice owners Basil, Margaret & Allan King and Rachel Toohey.

It was a different tale for fellow heat winners The Sentry (gate nine) and Blatant Lie (gate 11) who both must overcome second line draws to add to their Group 1 hauls.

Grant Crane?s budding superstar The Sentry, a winner of the SA Derby and Breeders Crown has been installed the $3.50 second elect, while noted frontrunner Blatant Lie, a winner of the Group 1 Vicbred Super Series, has drifted alarmingly to $11.

Tactics will play a key role in the outcome with Tasmanian Derby winner, the brilliant Bendigo colt Bo Jasper, drawn to chase an all-the-way win from the coveted pole.

The field for the $100,000 ?Christian Cullen? Alabar Victoria Derby, to be run at 10pm (AEST) on 21 February at Moonee Valley, is;
