Smoken Up grabs NSW honours for second year running
Smoken Up - 2012 NSW Horse of the Year.
The 2011/12 Industry Awards night was held at the Sheraton on the Park on Saturday evening 27 October with a theme of red, white and blue and guests were taken on an international rendezvous.
Many horses scaled the heights of stardom this season and for the first time HRNSW recognised the achievements of both genders in each pacing category and also the two and three year old trotters.
For the second year running Smoken Up was named NSW Horse of The Year based on scintillating performances in the Len Smith and Miracle Miles at Tabcorp Park Menangle.
The 3YO of the year was taken out by Victorian and Newcastle Derby winner Scandalman for Ian Wilson whilst Frith took the honours in the 2YO category. The David Thorn-trained Savona was named Trotter of The Year.
