Smoken Up To Contest Adelaide Galvanising FFA At Globe Derby This Saturday

Adelaide harness racing fans will get to see Smoken Up begin his 2012-13 racing campaign on Saturday night, when he contests the Adelaide Galvanising Minor Derby Free For All at Globe Derby.

The race is named after one of South Australia’s greatest ever harness horses in Minor Derby and this year introduces a new sponsor to SA harness racing in Adelaide Galvanising.

Trainer-driver Lance Justice has always supported his former home state in South Australia and again will give local fans a chance to see his champion race. Smoken Up has won the SA Cup at Globe Derby on three occasions, in 2008, 2011 and 2012. Minor Derby used to bring large crowds to Wayville and Smoken Up should bring a crowd out this week.

Racing on Saturday night will commence at 6.17pm, with the Adelaide Galvanising Minor Derby Free For All race 7 timed to jump at 9.22pm.
