Shannon Noll teams up with HRNSW

Harness Racing NSW is delighted to announce a partnership with Aussie music star Shannon Noll to promote the industry during the 2012/2013 season.

Noll will be the face of harness racing in an upcoming television commercial and will perform live at a number of feature race meetings across the State.

Noll was over the moon when asked about his involvement.

“Growing up as a young fella I often went to the trots to have a good time,” he said.

“A lot of my harness racing appearances will be in regional areas or the outskirts of Sydney and that’s where I love to play.

“Harness racing deserves as much publicity as possible as it is a multi-million dollar sport and creates a lot of jobs and opportunity for all demographic. I can’t wait to get amongst it.”

Each NSW club was provided with an opportunity to have Noll play at one of their feature race meetings this season with at least a dozen clubs already confirmed.

Noll will commence his harness racing tour at the Penrith Paceway on 15 November where entry is free to the public. Three days later he will head to Griffith and be part of the club’s first ever Carnival of Cups meeting.

HRNSW CEO Sam Nati sees the relationship with Noll as a perfect way to move forward.

“Shannon is the quintessential artist with following all over Australia. There is no doubt he can assist in helping showcase harness racing to the general public," he said.

“We are very excited to have him on board and believe the harness fraternity will have something to be proud about during the 2012/2013 season.”

At participating harness racing venues, 20 people will have the opportunity to meet Noll with a VIP promotion.

Noll has released his first book – Shannon Noll So Far, and it is available in all book stores with his latest album A Million Suns, featured in the Aria top Album 50 chart, selling at a premium.
