Newcastle will host this year’s NSW Breeders Challenge finals race meeting on Saturday night and a massive crowd is expected at the paceway to witness six $20,000 finals and three strong support races.

The regional finals are a great initiative of HRNSW. It caters for breeders challenge eligible horses that did not win a heat of the breeders challenge series or finish in the first three on final day which was held at Menangle on 24th June.

Some of the top names in the State will descend on Newcastle including Paul Fitzpatrick, Neil Day and Luke McCarthy. The Riverina, Western District, Sydney, Hunter Valley and North West regions of the state are represented at the Saturday twilight meeting which will kick off at the earlier start time of 5.05pm.

There are plenty of activities planned for the family with free showbags, jumping castle, petting zoo for the kids and lucky prize draws after every race. The maxi trots will also be in action on the night.

With a full restaurant and over 400 people booked into the Parade ring function room it should be a great atmosphere at Newcastle on Saturday evening, the gates will open at 4pm.
