Mr Feelgood to stand in NSW

Mr Feelgood will stand at the Alabar division of Yirribee stud this season.

In a coup for breeders Group One performer Mr Feelgood will stand his first season as a Sire at Alabar’s division of Yirribee stud.

Owned by Kevin and Kay Seymour and Peter and Zilla Oshea, connections recently finalised negotiations to stand the 2006 Little Brown Jug and 2009 Inter Dominion winner at Yirribee in Wagga Wagga NSW.

Mr Feelgood is the only horse in history to have won major feature races in North America and Australia, amassing $3.4 million in prizemoney.

“He won our feature staying races as well as America’s highest prizemoney sprints,” said part-owner Kevin Seymour.

“On the track he was just an amazing horse and is the current holder on three separate state records and has an exceptional maternal family.”

In the United States the entire served a book of mares 31 which produced 25 live foals. From the small crop he has left three $100,000 winners, two of which won the Colts and Gelding and Fillies 3YO divisions of the $250,000 Kentucky Sires Stakes Finals, namely I’m Feelin Good and Feels Good.

When Mr Feelgood was racing in the southern hemisphere he produced 17 live foals through frozen semen, three have since passed and the remaining 14 will be 2YO’s from 1 September.

Following the announcement that he will stand in NSW, Mr Feelgood’s progeny Australasian wide will be eligible for the $3,000 Nominators Cash Bonus, Breeders Challenge Owners Bonus Certificates valued at $2,500 as well as the rich $1.2 million Alabar Breeders Challenge major race series and regional finals.
