HRA Industry Notice - FIT Puts Thousands Of Dollars Back Into Community Sport

Harness Racing Australia recommends that participants have a level of private health insurance to complement the personal accident insurance that forms part of the licence renewals. It is at this time of year when private health insurance is at the foremost of everyone’s thoughts as we get bombarded with end of year advertisements.
For that reason we have entered into an agreement with FIT health Insurance to assist our participants meet their individual needs. As part of the agreement Harness Racing will receive funding based on participants who take up health insurance with FIT. This money is then placed back into the sport. So while you are ensuring medical coverage in the event that you need it you are also supporting your own industry.
FIT understands and appreciates the importance of sport in our community, so we give funding to various sports clubs across Australia. It really is that simple. FIT is a not for profit organization, so we put our profits back into areas of community life we think are important.
FIT is easy to join. Anyone who transfers their cover to FIT on an equivalent level of cover will not have to serve any additional waiting periods providing all waiting periods and benefit limitation periods have been served with your previous fund. Download and fill in the application form in the Member Guide and send it in, or grab a quote and join online.
