Leading Victorian reinsman Daryl Douglas proved he’s too hot to handle regardless of the vehicle after taking top honours in HRV’s Pegasus Club Go-Kart Challenge, beating out a highly acclaimed V8 driver in the process!

Douglas led his team to victory at Ace Karts in Moorabbin while also seizing top individual driver honours with a leading lap of 31.620 seconds.

‘Dasher’ drove alongside brother Glenn, fellow harness pilot Greg Sugars and HRV’s Metropolitan Racing Manager David Brick.

Drivers were delighted when V8 stars Jason Bright and Jason Richards from Holden BOC Racing Team walked through the door as special guests of the Pegasus Club. The duo provided some perspective on their career in the fast lane and Bright even took to the track to set a hot lap, which would later be overhauled by Douglas.

The 2Construct/Vermont Panels team consisting of Duncan McPherson, Peter Rahilly, Martin Riseley and Owen Humphris came in second place overall, 15 seconds behind the winners.

HRV and the Pegasus Club thank Jason Bright and Jason Richards for their time and wish them the best for the remainder of the V8 season.

Thanks also to the hot competition provided by the Douglas brothers, Greg Sugars, Chris Lang Jnr, Chris Alford, Rodney Petroff, Jason Hackett!
