Gary Hall Jnr & Snr are hoping for more celebrations after Friday's Chariots Of Fire

Gary Hall Snr has declared that he would be very surprised if his runner Im Themightyquinn was crossed in Friday night’s $200,000 Courage Under Fire Chariots Of Fire at Harold Park.

With several fast beginners drawn favourably many are expecting an early speed duel that may decide the fate of the main hopes including Hall’s Perth visitor.
“I’d be shocked if he was crossed by a horse that has drawn wider than him.  Im Themightyquinn has blistering gate speed and he has shown back home that he has the speed to go with anything early. Maffioso is a very fast horse early but if we were to let him across and we sat on him there is no way that we could beat him” Hall Snr stated.
Im Themightyquinn is the heavily backed favourite with TAB Sportsbet and if the emergencies fail to gain a start, will begin from gate two.  Maffioso will be driven for the first time by Chris Alford and will start from barrier four.
“Everything has worked out well for him since we arrived from Perth last week and I have changed a couple of things since I last came over with The Falcon Strike.  Last time I changed my training techniques with The Falcon and was too easy on him whereas Im Themightyquinn has done everything here that he would normally do at home.”
“I am staying at Jack Primmer’s place and I have been able to canter Im Themightyquinn strongly every day since his win last week and I think his work this morning was his best ever, he is spot on.”
If successful on Friday night Hall will consider bringing the former Kiwi back to New South Wales in an attempt to win this year’s Miracle Mile.
“I don’t like leaving home because I have a big team at home to look after but I think he would be ideally suited in a Miracle Mile if he got some cover and they went very fast up front.”
