Trainer-driver Jason Grimson.
Young trainer Jason Grimson will make a strong claim for the top of the Metropolitan Trainers’ Premiership at Menangle tonight.
The Menangle Park Trainer Centre-based horseman has five horses engaged with a three-pronged attack in the Group 3 Teeny Teeny Ladyship Stakes.
Grimson’s raid on the feature is with Smooth Debate, The Wolf and Diamond Party.
Grimson has risen in the ranks in New South Wales and is the fourth-top trainer in the state.
Experiencing his best season to date, Grimson has already trained 87 winners this term.
He came ever so close to winning his first Inter Dominion heat at Bathurst on Wednesday night.
His pacer Boncel Benjamin came within a head of King Of Swing in the second round of qualifiers after setting a very slick tempo in front.
Grimson has three horses in the pacing series including Majestic Cruiser who ran an eye-catching fourth to Expensive Ego in the latest heats.
