It is the battle of the Bathurst horses in the first of the Inter Dominion qualifying heats at that track tonight.

Father and daughter trainers Steve and Amanda Turnbull will go head-to-head with fellow local trainer Chris Frisby in the $30,000 heat.

Steve Turnbull has Atomic Red engaged while Amanda Turnbull has Ellmers Image and Frisby has Our Uncle Sam.

All horses are outsiders with the Belinda McCarthy-trained Expensive Ego the favourite ahead of Victorian pacer Triple Eight the second elect.

There are no local hopes in the second of the pacing heats where ‘Team McCarthy’ has the favourite Alta Orlando.

Then in the last of the pacing heats of the night Amanda Turnbull and Frisby have Bundoran and Aphorism, respectively, and will have to take on series favourite King Of Swing.

Having won an Inter Dominion heat already, King Of Swing will have to overcome the outside front row draw to make it two in-a-row.

The iForm team’s best bets for tonight:

Bathurst best bet

Race 2: Ballerini (2)

In dazzling form presently and from the handy draw will prove hard to stop once again.

Bathurst next best

Race 8: Humble Ladd (1)

Capable of testing favourite players making plenty of ground after an early break at Menangle.

The Bathurst quaddie

Race 5: 7-1

Race 6: 4-2-5-8

Race 7: 8

Race 8: 3-1-9

$24 for 100%
