Lochinvar Art withdrawn from Miracle Mile Contention

26 February 2021

Club Menangle, Racecourse Avenue, NSW 2563 February 26 2021: Club Menangle have been informed that Lochinvar Art is officially withdrawn from Garrard’s Miracle Mile contention. Trainer/Driver David Moran made the gut-wrenching call to Club Menangle Racing Manager David Wonson at 10.00am AEDT today.

‘David Moran was devastated that Arty will not be ready in time for the Miracle Mile next Saturday (March 6), but the horse’s welfare always comes first. The infection in Lochinvar Art’s hoof flared up again this morning, so he will concentrate on getting the horse 100% before making any further racing plans” Wonson said.

A grand circuit event the Garrard’s Miracle Mile, is the culmination of a frenzied 16-day carnival period. The final field of elite pacers will take on Australasia’s richest Speed Pacing Championship with a AUD1 million purse.
