Yesterday HRNSW Regulatory Veterinarian Dr M Wainscott and HRNSW Stewards inspected LOCHINVAR ART following its withdrawal from the AVE Technologies Newcastle Mile (Group 1) on Friday 19 February 2021.

On inspection, LOCHINVAR ART was found to be displaying lameness in the off fore leg consistent with the reported incident and reasons for scratching.

Trainer Mr David Moran reported that LOCHINVAR ART has been responding well to treatment and he will provide the horse with light work in the coming days to ensure its suitability to perform an open workout at TABCORP Menangle on Saturday 27 February 2021.

HRNSW Stewards will follow up with Mr Moran on Friday 26 February 2021 and obtain a follow up report.
