Nathan Hurst recently reached 600 winners as a driver.

BATHURST reinsman Nathan Hurst recently achieved the feat of driving 600 winners and heads to his local track tonight with just one drive.

Hurst will take the reins on Tulhurst Terror in race two, a pacer he trains himself.

It was at Parkes on New Years Eve that Hurst secured his driving milestone behind the pacer Eagle Commander, which he also trains.

As a trainer, Hurst has captured 608 winners, which was boosted when he captured a double at Tamworth’s Carnival of Cups meeting last week with Eagle Commander and Peggyville.

The latter was driven by Hurst’s wife, Angela Hedges, who will drive Hurst’s other starter tonight Tulhurst Lover, in race six.

Meanwhile Bathurst-trained pacer Kanena Provlima proved too strong in the Junee Cup at Junee’s Carnival of Cups meeting on Monday night.

Forced to do it tough, the gelding won comfortably to secure his 11th career win in 37 starts.
