VIC – Industry Notice – Stablehands & Stable Representatives Notification Requirements

To assist the restricting of non-essential personnel attending race meetings, trainers will now be required to nominate a representative to act on their behalf, along with nominating a stablehand to accompany them on HarnessWeb on their “MY NOMS” tab.

To assist trainers in getting accustomed to this new process, a trial period will be implemented and this will be in effect from Wednesday 27 May 2020 (including Tabcorp Park Melton and Kilmore), therefore the notification deadline for these meetings will be 11:00am on Monday 25 May 2020.

The trial period will run until Wednesday 3 June 2020 (including Kilmore and Terang) and it will be enforced from this date onwards.

ALL Stablehands and Stable Representatives attending race meetings and trials from 3 June 2020 will be need to be nominated on HarnessWeb by the required time or entry will be REFUSED to the Racecourse.

RACE MEETINGS

  • If nominating a Stablehand or Stable Representative, please ensure they are essential to be in attendance at the Race Meeting.
  • Stablehands or Stable Representatives can be nominated in HarnessWeb as soon as the fields are released and before 11:00am two days prior to the meeting (driver declaration time), 11:00am three days prior for Sunday meetings.
  • ALL Stablehands or Stable Representatives will need to be nominated on HarnessWeb by the required time or entry will be REFUSED to the Racecourse.

TRIALS

  • ALL Drivers, Stablehands and Stable Representatives will be required to be nominated on HarnessWeb by nomination closing time for trials or entry will be REFUSED to the Racecourse.

Stables with three (3) or more runners engaged at a race or trial meeting will be required to notify Raceday Staff the details of the additional Stablehand upon arrival at the meeting
