Siblings give Redcliffe yearling sale a boost

Siblings to a number of recent winners will be offered at the online Redcliffe Yearling Sale, to be conducted by Darren Ebert and Co. on Sunday, April 5, starting at 12 noon.

They include half-brothers to the dual Albion Park two-year-old winner and Changeover Classic placegetter Onlysbest (1:58.5), the multiple Albion Park winner Street Appeal, the Albion Park winners Celtic Cruza (1:56), Bangkok Bravado (1:56.2) and Grizzly Montana (1:59.1) and the recent Tasmanian victors Gotta Good Reason and Drifting Away.

There’s half-sisters to the Albion Park three-year-old winner Betterthanlego (1:55.7), Redcliffe winners Amaya Becomes and Molly Montana and the Marburg winner Dolittle Desley.

The catalogue lists close relatives to several metropolitan and overseas winners including Fifty Five Reborn, a 1:57.4 Gloucester Park three-year-old winner last Friday.

Other winners include last Saturday night’s Albion Park winner Newport Dreamz (1:55.9), Corey William, a recent Albion Park and Redcliffe winner, Betting Man (Globe Derby Park) and the Yonkers, New York winner Million Dollar Gem (1:54.2).

Yearlings to be auctioned at Redcliffe are by sires that have produced Group winning two-year-old progeny in Australia and New Zealand this year.

A Rocknroll Dance, who has three lots in the sale, ranks as the sire of the Shakamaker Classic winner Bar Room Banta;  Heston Blue Chip (2 lots), is the sire of NSW Pink Bonnet winner Girl From Oz; Tintin In America (1 lot) left the WA Sales Classic winner Lady Jadore; Betterthancheddar (2 lots) figures as the sire of the Changeover Classic winner Sheza Bonny Sheila; and Western Terror (1 lot) is the sire of the Tasmanian Debutante Stakes winner Yeah Mate.

Graduates from the sale are eligible for the Garrard’s Redcliffe Yearling Sale Series with a two-year-old Sale Race Classic worth $100,000 in 2021 and a three-year-old Classic carrying a stake of $35,000 in 2022.

They are also eligible for QBred, Breeders Crown, Bathurst Gold Crown and Vicbred.
