VALE DAWN McPHEE.
Members of the MPA and the local community where shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Dawn earlier this month. Dawn along with her late husband Campbell, who was a former President of the Association, gave many hours of their time to ensure that the MPA went forward in everyway possible. Dawn continued her support of the Association, regularly attending meetings and watch out if you didn’t buy a raffle ticket off her. On the day of Dawn’s funeral, the MPA had a race meeting and the winner of Race 6 was “Gest as Smart”, trained and driven by Lola Weidemann, so what you might say, Lola was wearing the Green Jacket and Yellow Sleeves worn and raced by Campbell and Dawn. Apparently following Campbells passing, Dawn gave the colours to her good friend Lola. Lola registered them in her name and has been wearing them ever since.
THE MPA CHRISTMAS PARTY.

This year catering will be provided by Coast to Coast Roasts. After a fantastic time had by everyone last year, I’m sure there will be a rush for tickets this year. Tickets are $10 for members and $20 for non-members, children under 10yrs are free. On the night there will entertainment provided as well as presentations to the Volunteer of the Year along with Young Trainer of the Year.
As we need to book number for catering, tickets will need to be purchased before the 8th December. To book tickets call Karen Shultz on 0418 883003. Also Santa has asked us to provide the number of children that are coming along, so he can leave a small gift.
