Stable Inspections– 22 October 2019

Licensed trainers Frank Evans and Bob Egan were fined $200 under AHR Rule 190B(4) for failing to keep and maintain a log book as required.

RACE 6- COBRAM FARM EQUIPMENT PACE (2170 MS)

Mark Thompson, trainer of Dunrobbin, advised that subsequent to this event blood tests revealed the gelding to be displaying a virus. Dunrobbin will be treated accordingly prior to continuing with the current preparation of the gelding, Mr Thompson advised Dunrobbin would not start until he is fully satisfied the gelding would compete in a competitive manner.

RACE 4 – HARGREAVES HILL BREWERY CLAIMING PACE (2150 MS)

Dean Braun, stable representative for, Amanda Grieve trainer of Max Richter NZ, advised that subsequent to the event the gelding has recovered well with blood tests failing reveal any abnormalities. Mr Braun advised the stable was at a loss to explain the performance.

RACE 5 – DE BORTOLI YARRA VALLEY TROTTERS CUP (GROUP 3) (2650 SS)

Bill Morgan, trainer of Maori Law, advised that subsequent to this event the gelding has recovered well and attributed the performance to the gelding being slowly away and enduring more work than expected to make up the lost ground which may have contributed to Maori Law failing to finish the event off in a strong manner. Mr Morgan advised Maori Law is engaged to start at Tabcorp Park Melton on the 15th November 2019.

RACE 5 – KEILOR EAST PROBUS GROUP PACE (1720 MS)

Ross Payne stable representative for, Vince Vallelonga trainer of Courageous Saint, advised that subsequent to the event the gelding has recovered well and attributed the performance due to the gelding locking wheels with another runner resulting in the gelding losing all momentum. Mr Payne advised Courageous Saint is engaged at Tabcorp Park Melton 15th November 2019.

RACE 6 – PLENTY VALLEY RETIREMENT PACE (2240 MS)

Emma Stewart, trainer of Like A Wildfire NZ, advised that subsequent to this event blood tests revealed the gelding to be displaying a virus. Like A Wildfire NZ will be treated accordingly prior to continuing with the current preparation of the gelding, Ms Stewart advised Like A Wildfire NZ would not start until she is fully satisfied the gelding would compete in a competitive manner.

RACE 8 – ALLIED EXPRESS CINDERELLA STAKES (GROUP 3) (1720 MS)

Emma Stewart, trainer of Nostra Villa,Nostra Beach & Berisari advised that subsequent to the event that all the mare's have recovered well with blood tests failing reveal any abnormalities. Ms Stewart advised she will continue with the current preparation of the mare's.
