CONNECTIONS of Yourshoutrocky hope he can match the feats of his namesake on Saturday night.

Like the iconic Rocky Balboa, the freshman has built a solid ‘club’ record, with three wins from six bouts.

And just as Rocky was, Yourshoutrocky is poised to be catapulted to a Championship title fight in the main arena.

Yourshoutrocky is engaged in the Australian Pacing Gold Championship at Tabcorp Park Melton for trainer Ahmed Taiba.

Once again like Rocky, Yourshoutrocky faces his own Apollo Creed in the form of short-priced favourite Mirragon.

Despite drawing the outside of the row Mirragon is listed at $1.50 with TAB Fixed Odds.

Aware the son of Bettors Delight faces a monumental task, Taiba remains quietly confident Yourshoutrocky can deliver a knock-out blow in the Group Two.

“He’s a nice colt which is getting better as he goes along,” Taiba said. “He is racing well and has been working as well as he ever has.

“He is certainly ready to deliver a few body shots from barrier two, but whether he can score the knock-out we’ll have to wait and see.

“Mirragon has proven himself to be a very nice horse and is clearly the standard to beat.”

Taiba will also be represented by Aishabeach, which will be chasing a sentimental victory from barrier three.

Owned by the horseman’s brother Hass, the colt is named after the pair’s niece, Aisha, who is the daughter of their brother Freddy and his partner, Montana.

Freddy is best known as the trainer of former brilliant youngster Sushi Sushi.

“Aishabeach goes well and isn’t out of it, but will need a bit of luck,” Taiba said.
