Allwood Stud Unites Harness Racing Community

The team at Allwood Stud who were on hand in South Australia on the night of February 9 will never forget (as with many others who follow harness racing closely) witnessing the sickening fall of Dani Hill and Paul Cavallaro in the SA BOTRA Pacing Derby.

Both Paul and Dani are much loved and respected participants in our sport and while it’s best not to list their range of serious injuries, let’s just say they are both overcoming considerable damage to their bodies.

Allwood Stud have partnered up with HRSA and SA BOTRA to raise $5,000 each for both Dani and Paul. This will be done by the way of a very exciting raffle limited to just 100 tickets at $100 each.

The very generous team at Allwood have donated a service for the 2019/20 breeding season for each to their three stallions, that’s $10,000 in Value

Let’s not forget the massive announcement from earlier this week that Allwood had signed Rock N Roll World who is a sire that will attract massive interest in the up and coming breeding season and is part of this fundraiser for Dani and Paul.

Rock N Roll World will stand beside, Follow The Stars (who is doing a wonderful job with his first crop) and Fly Like An Eagle – a sire the yearling buyers are really excited about.

We when spoke to Lois Randall today from SA BOTRA she went to say: Paul and Dani have been on the minds of so many of our members since that horrific fall on February 9, so when we were approached by Allwood Stud, we just had to also sign on to this magnificent fund raiser. When 100% of the money raise gets through to the people you are helping, it’s a no-brainer. Allwood Stud have been truly outstanding helping this state and we look forward to working with them to provide this much appreciated support for Paul and Dani.

Harness Racing SA are also throwing their weight and resources behind this raffle.  When we contacted Gary Crocker today he said: Paul and Dani are two valued and respected participants of the harness racing community here in SA. We are proud to be supporting this generous brainchild of Bob and Marilyn Fowler and we just couldn’t wait to get behind Allwood Stud with this concept. Allwood stud have been a truly brilliant partner of SA Harness Racing for years now and after reading the latest news about their very impressive purchase of Rock N Roll World, we hope this association and partnership will continue for some time.

The winners of these three phenomenal prizes will be announced on Saturday the 8th of June, being:

1st Prize will be the first pick of the three stallions

2nd Prize will be the first pick of the remaining two sires

3rd Prize will be lucky recipient of the remaining available service fee

We do ask anyone who has the capacity to invest in tickets to please do ASAP so those funds can get 100% through to Dani and Paul in a timely manner.
