Marc and Kristy have four runners engaged on the seven-event Tasmanian Trotting Club card tonight, Similan Beach, Western Glory, Ima A Lister and Rollon Jack.

Three of the four campaigners will be driven by Ricky Duggan while Gareth Rattray will steer Ima A Lister.

“We have a strong team in tonight, Similan Beach is having its second run this season, he ran fifth first up on 1 March, but he just didn’t feel right so we got his bloods check and gave him a break,” said Mark.

‘He’s working well now and won a trial at Carrick a fortnight ago so despite a tricky draw inside the second row I’d expect him to run a forward race with I Wanna Rock from the Sam Rawnsley yard the obvious danger in race two the TAB Park Elwick Pace.”

Western Glory (pictured) has won six of her eight starts for Marc since arriving in the stable and her record could have been even better if her gear didn’t break at Devonport when a short-priced favourite.

“We have all new gear for her so that won’t be happening again, she has begun her Tasmanian career in a blaze of glory so we won’t be making too many changes to her winning formula,” said the Pipers River mentor.

“Western Glory is unbeaten four from four at the Hobart circuit and again despite a poor draw I think she will be hard to hold out when the chips are down and Ima A Lister has won two from four since joining our stable, so it would have to be a chance but needs to conquer the likes of Streitkid and Call Me Hector.”

Kristy Butler has Rollon Jack engaged in the last the Signwriters Pace over 2090-metres.

“Rollon Jack is back tonight after a good let-up, I don’t think he’s ever looked or felt better, he had wins in July and August of last year and has been off the scenes since September,” said Marc.

“He finished ahead of Yatsenyuk Leis in a trial at Devonport on Monday night and I would have thought it’s the main danger tonight along with Krafty Boy.”

All the action from tonight’s seven-event Tasmanian Trotting Club card, commencing at 17.19, may be seen via the live stream service at tasracing.com.au.
