Geoff Allen, trainer of Maggies Missile, explained that following the mares poor performance, blood tests revealed a virus. Mr Allen added that he would treat Maggies Missile prior to it competing again.

Connections of Keayang Ebonyrose, advised that following this event the mare was examined and found to be sore across the back area. It is the intention of connections to treat Keayang Ebonyrose and give the mare a slight freshen up before resuming racing.

RACE 7 – HYGAIN AUSTRALIAN TROTTING GRAND PRIX (GROUP 1)
Andy Gath, trainer of McLovin NZ, explained that the gelding has appeared to have recovered well and has worked well since. Mr Gath added that McLovin NZ has been accepted to race at Tabcorp Park Melton, 16 March 2019. Mr Gath advised that he would re-assess the preparation of McLovin NZ following the gelding’s performance at this meeting. Mr Gath further added that due to McLovin NZ working well since he had confidence in accepting for the gelding to race.
