PUNTERS are showing faith in Australian Pacing Gold purchase Muscle Factory as he attempts to break the stranglehold raiders have had on the New South Wales Derby in Menangle tomorrow night.

As mentioned on www.nationaltrotguide.com.au earlier in the week, Muscle Factory is the lone local in the Blue Riband.

In fact, the three-year-old is the only non-Victorian in the Group One field!

A strong second in his heat – which was won in track record equalling time by APG graduate Demon Delight - Muscle Factory has drawn barrier three for co-trainers Lauren and Shane Tritton.

The son of Roll With Joe slots into two with the removal of the emergency.

Winner of the Victoria Derby on January 26, Muscle Factory has been backed into being the $3 second elect in his bid to complete the classic double.

Centenario, another to come from the Australian Pacing Gold ‘stable’, is the easing $2.60 after drawing to begin from the pole.

Excel Stride was the last local to capture the Derby in a race record 1:54.2 over 2300 metres in 2011.

Muscle Factory is one of seven APG graduates in the $200,000 Final, which is sponsored by the industry leader.

Along with Demon Delight and Centenario, the colt will be joined by Hardhitter, Malcolms Rhythm, Max Delight and Fourbigmen.

APG eligible youngsters have won the past four New South Wales Derbys.

For you chance to purchase a potential star head to Sunday’s Ladbrokes APG Yearling Sale at Warwick Farm.
