CHANGES TO 2020 'THE ALLWOOD'

HRSA advises that the 2020 edition of `The Allwood’ will now be run in February to coincide with the 2020 SA Cup and Allwood Stud Farm SA Yearling Sale.

While traditionally major juvenile racing has been restricted to the latter part of the season, the change to February represents a real opportunity for two-year-olds to compete for Group One glory much earlier than has previously been the case.

In making this announcement HRSA Board Chairman Gary Crocker stated “ the Board is excited about `The Allwood’ being run in conjunction with Allwood Stud Farm Yearling Sale and SA Cup in 2020 and the weekend promises to be a significant highlight in the SA harness racing calendar.

.

Mr Crocker added “the change in timing of `The Allwood’ to February is complimentary to the other initiatives undertaken by HRSA in recent months where our most prestigious races are going to be run at far more favorable times of the year.

The 2019 Allwood Stud Farm SA Yearling Sale to be held at the Magic Millions Sale Complex at Morphettville on Sunday 10th February 2019 represents the last opportunity to gain access to the 2020 running of `The Allwood’ and anyone wishing to obtain a catalogue can contact HRSA on (08) 8285 0700
