HRSA – CHANGES TO 2YO and 3YO FEATURE RACING CALENDAR

HRSA has completed a review of the 2YO and 3YO feature racing calendar and advise that

the dates for these feature races in 2019 have been bought forward to better provide for the industry and its needs.

In making these changes the Board was mindful that, over time, many of the feature 2YO and 3YO races had slipped back in the racing season, with one of our premier series, the Southern Cross Series now being conducted in the last weekend in July.

The rationale for bringing forward the 2YO and 3YO features is, not only will our best races be conducted at a more favourable time of the year but also there will be greater continuity of racing opportunities for age groups.

The dates for the 2YO and 3YO feature races are as follows:

SA 2YO PACERS FEATURES

  • KINDERGARTEN FINAL – Saturday February 9 2019 (SA Cup Night)
  • SAPLING STAKES – Saturday March 16 2019
  • BOTRA 2YO FILLIES – Saturday April 6 2019
  • GOLDEN NURSERY FINAL – Saturday April 27 2019 (Heats Monday April 15)
  • SOUTHERN CROSS FINALS – Saturday May 18 2019 (Heats Saturday May 11)
  • ALLWOOD SALE FINAL - Saturday June 8 2019 (Heats Saturday June 1)
  • LORDSHIP & LADYSHIP – Saturday July 13 2019
