RACE 4 – MORTLAKE VETERINARY CLINIC PACE
Matthew Craven, trainer of My Harmony Blue NZ, explained that the mare had recovered well following this event. Mr Craven added that he was of the opinion that My Harmony Blue NZ may not have sufficiently recovered from a run at Hamilton (24/9/10) when running a mile rate of 1:52.0. Whilst My Harmony Blue NZ was showing no ill effects from this event, it was the intention of connections to give the mare a short break prior to racing again.

RACE 6 – YABBY DAM RACING TROTTERS HANDICAP
Matthew Craven, trainer of One Yankee Ginga NZ, explained that the gelding recovered well subsequent to the event, however added that in the past week One Yankee Ginga NZ post track work had experience back soreness. Mr Craven added that he was awaiting veterinary advice and would treat One Yankee Ginga NZ accordingly. Mr Craven advised that although recovering from this race satisfactory, given that the gelding had suffered soreness in the past week he would investigate the reasons prior to starting One Yankee Ginga NZ again.

RACE 5 – TANKARD DENTAL HAPPY GAS HIGH PACE
Aaron Bain, trainer of Ideal World NZ, advised that blood tests taken from the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities and it was the intentions of the stable to trial Ideal World NZ prior to racing again. Mr Bain added that he intended to not race Ideal World NZ for 2 to 3 weeks or until he is fully satisfied that gelding will be able to perform at its best.
RACE 7 – ZILZIE WINES REGIONAL COLLECTION PACE
Aaron Bain, trainer of Springfield O’flynn , explained that similar to Ideal World NZ no obvious abnormalities were detected in the blood tests taken. Mr Bain added that Springfield O’flynn will trial prior to racing, due to it being stood down until the completion of a satisfactory trial. Springfield O’flynn will also not race for a period of 2 to 3 weeks or until the stable if fully satisfied that the gelding will perform at its best.
