A GOOD break, then the Victoria Derby.

That’s what co-trainers Lauren and Shane Tritton have in store for quality freshman Muscle Factory.

An arrogant winner of last night’s Australian Pacing Gold Brisbane Sale Final at Albion Park, Muscle Factory will be sent to a paddock upon return to his New South Wales home.

The son of Roll With Joe will be given “roughly six weeks off” before being primed for Australia’s oldest classic, which is scheduled to be conducted at Tabcorp Park Melton on January 26.

“He has really just started to mature as a racehorse in the past month or so and gives every indication he will be better again next time around,” Shane said.

“He’s got all the attributes to be a top three-year-old, so hopefully that’s the way he will head.

“We will give him roughly six weeks off then getting him going for the Victoria Derby.”

Driven by Lauren during his latest triumph, Muscle Factory began quickly to find the lead from barrier seven, with the remainder of the Group One a formality.

Never fully extended, the colt cruised to a dominating 38-metre win from Miss Moneybags, with Timeless Appeal four-and-a-half metres away third.

“Once he got to the front he was never going to be beaten,” Tritton said. “Lauren let him slide along and he just did it so easily within himself.

“It’s a great way to finish his two-year-old season and he will head to the paddock full of himself.”

Rating 1:53.1 over 1660 metres, Muscle Factory stretched his record to five wins and three placings from nine starts for earnings of $112,655.
