Office of Racing Integrity Stewards have received advice from Racing Analytical Services that a pre-race blood sample taken from ALEMERIA prior to it competing in and winning Race 7, the CHARTLEY ESTATE PACE at the Launceston Pacing Club race meeting on Wednesday July 11th 2018 has been found upon analysis to contain TC02 above the permitted threshold.
Racing Science Centre have carried out testing of the reserve sample, which confirmed the presence of TC02 above the permitted threshold.
The matter will now be the subject of a Stewards Inquiry.
Acting under the provisions of AHRR 183A, Stewards have determined that ALEMERIA shall not be nominated for or start in a race pending the outcome of that Inquiry.
