Tasmania’s leading trainer Ben Yole recorded his 100th Australian win of the season after the Sidmouth-based trainer dominated last weekend’s action in Tasmania.

Hall Of Fame driver Ricky Duggan is normally the punter’s friend but he delivered a long shot double in Hobart on Friday night.

Rohan Hillier produced two good winning drives in Launceston on Sunday night. He shared driving honours on the program with Conor Crook who also recorded a double.

This week the two-year-old Sires’ Stakes finals, the Group 3 Evicus and Group 3 Dandy Patch headline the Make A Wish race night in Hobart on Friday.

The Tier Two meeting will be held on Sunday night in Launceston with a seven-race card.

The Stars

Ben Yole – recorded his 100th win for the season for the third consecutive year when Im Full Tilt scored on Sunday night. The Yole stable is well represented at every Tasmanian race meeting and he trained six winners of the 13 races held in the state last week.

Ricky Duggan – Many punters may have put him in the villain’s category on Friday night after his long-shot double on Drifting Away at odds of $41 and Seeled And Sinful who started at $71.

Conor Crook – concession driver recorded three wins across the weekend which concluded with Ready To Fire, a horse he had worked on getting calm when she first joined the Ben Yole stable.
