Anton Golino, trainer of Ima Bourbon Girl NZ, advised that the mare has since been spelled and added that he intended on beginning a new preparation with Ima Bourbon Girl NZ in the coming weeks.

Michael Laugher, trainer of Christian Jaz NZ, explained that the gelding recovered well from this run. Mr Laugher advised that due to racing at the rear of field Christian Jaz NZ, was not suited. Mr Laugher added that the gelding is best driven with one run and is unable to be competitive when having to improve into the race during the early or middle stages from the rear of the field. Mr Laugher explained that Christian Jaz NZ raced at, Melton 13 June 2018 and stated that he was satisfied with the performance of the gelding on that occasion.
