Harness Racing Victoria in collaboration with the Bendigo Harness Racing Training Centre (BHRTC) has developed an animal welfare online training program.
The animal welfare online training program is mandatory and must be completed prior to the upcoming licence season by all licensed participants and achieves the following;
- Greater education that improves knowledge, skills and compliance;
- Collaboration with Industry that improves animal welfare;
- Ensures adequate safeguards are in existence which aids effective compliance and enforcement on animal welfare.
The online training program will assist participants in relation to current animal welfare requirements and will take approximately thirty (30) minutes to complete. You may use an IPhone, Desk Top Computer, Laptop Computer etc to access the program.
If you have difficulty accessing or completing the online training program please go to the trouble shooting section of the instructions (below) to seek assistance from the selections available.
The online training program must be fully completed by all current licensees prior to seeking a licence renewal for the 2018/19 season. A licence will not be renewed without full completion of the animal welfare online training program.
