Woods to give Youngblood's a Jolt

Brady Woods goes into tonight’s second round of heats sitting in a handy second spot on the 6ty° Youngbloods Challenge points table behind Braden Howlett.

The Fingal reinsman has the opportunity to take over at the top of the table having drawn to partner Usain Jolt in tonight’s heat four.

The Tony Peterson-trained gelding, has been runner-up at six of nine starts this season and has chased home the brilliant Harjeet at two of his last three outings.

The Village Jolt-Dressed In Black four-year-old is poised to go one better tonight in race four over 2090-metres and will start from inside the second row, following out the second elect and last-start Launceston winner Lynniemach.

The pole-maker, trained by Paul Ashwood, has the services of Youngbloods leader Brady Woods who will be very much aware of who is likely to take the sit behind the mare and use the Roberts Sprint Line in the home straight.

Hannah Van dongen, currently sits atop the Leading Female Driver Premiership Table, one ahead of Natalee Emery, and is currently right on the pace in the third spot in the Youngbloods Series.

The youngster has the chance to cement her position among the leaders with a forward showing on the Todd Rattray-prepared Kaliska Leis, drawn gate three in race two on the programme.

The Bettors Delight-Safina Leis four-year-old mare turned in a career-best performance in the recent running of the Granny Smith at Devonport, beaten just 4.6-metres by El Jays Mystery and Resurgent Dream.

Dylan Ford, left struggling near the bottom of the Youngblood’s point table after night one of the Series has the opportunity to skyrocket up the rankings aboard Streitkid in heat three.

The Paul Hill-trained American Ideal-Ima Blissfull Bell three-year-old was proved too good for Krafty Boy in Launceston before being far from disgraced in the Final of the Globe Derby, finishing midfield behind the classy Izaha.

Todd Rattray and Matt Howlett are not driving tonight in Hobart.
