When Pryde's EasiFeed Australasian Premier Trotting Sale Graduate Bacardi Chardy swept to victory at Tabcorp Park recently at her 3YO debut, her prizemoney pushed the APTS Graduate’s cumulative earnings past the $2.87 million mark.

Quality bloodstock has been the hallmark of the all-trotting sale since its inception in 2013, but when it gets down to the nitty gritty, it is winners and stakemoney that are paramount.

That is where the Pryde's EasiFeed Australasian Premier Trotting Sales comes into its own. The total sale turnover for the first three sales was $1,459,630 and yet already the graduates from those sales – aged 4YO to 6YO – have won an amazing $2,745,000.

Contributing to that amount are the five $100,000+ winners  – Cruisin Around ($200,142), Endsino ($185,203), Itsgettingcalder ($133,601), Aldebaran Eve ($127,678) and Big jack Hammer ($108,392). Another 20 have won over $50,000.

The sale is slated for Sunday March 11 at Tabcorp Park, the day after the premier racemeeting for trotters in the Southern Hemisphere, that features the Group 1 Prince of Speed and Princess of Speed 3YO Classics, the Lyn McPherson Series for mares (G1 Gold, G2 Silver, Bronze) and the Group 1 $100,000 Australian Grand Prix.

Rest assured that relations to the yearlings going under the hammer in 2018 will be on show in abundance at what is known this year as the Women's Cancer Foundation “Night at the Trots.”

Prospective buyers should put an alert into their diaries for next Wednesday afternoon when updated pedigrees (all updates will be shown in red) for the sale will be available at www.austrottingsale.com.au

Some of the updates include the fastest ever trotter bred in Australasia, Maori Time Tr.1:51.5 (her brother Aldebaran Stephan sells as Lot 55). Lyn McPherson Silver series heat winner Derrie Aire Tr.1:58.1 (her Andover Colt half brother sells as lot 24) and of course the value if the four progeny of Great Success USA were boosted by the deeds of Great Southern Star winner Sparkling Success Tr.1:53.9 (Victorian mile record).

The APTS at is at Tabcorp Park Melton, Sunday March 11. First lot goes under the hammer at 1pm.
