Us South Australians are very excited to be gearing up and getting ready to lay out the welcome mat for visitors to the inaugural Allwood Stud 2018 SA Yearling Sale, to be conducted February 11, 2018 at the Magic Millions Complex, Morphettville, SA.

We believe  the  industry as a whole will benefit from the success of this event and so it’s really important that we stay true to our core goals in running this quality event – mainly in identifying a real need that more money was essential for owners of two, three and four year old horses both in South Australia and nationally.

We made the brave decision, along with our partners, to commit to running, for the very first time in the history of the sport for all breeders and owners throughout Australia the $100,000 Group One race for 2YO’s - The Allwood.

Plus a 3YO series that will be very exciting and will have a high level of prize money for many local and interstate owners to benefit from.

Remembering the Harnessbred.com State of Origin 3YO series, which has race series stakes north of $70,000 for just the 16 fillies that walk into the ring in SA on 11 February 2018  - plus the additional 18 fillies from the Shepparton Harness Racing Club (SHRC).

Clearly a mission this big can only work if we get total support from the harness racing community and we have been staggered by the outstanding people that have come forward with their assistance.

Undoubtedly we need the backing of as many owners and trainers as possible who are looking at investing in yearlings this season to come forward and support the sale.  That said, we also want to build relationships with all the breeders in the country whether they sell yearlings or not. Breeders in this country need to be looked after better and we want  to be doing our part in not only recognising their important contributions but also in helping build their success whereever we can.

After seeing the positive effects first hand with three colts entered in our sale who have followed the nutrition advice published in the article below by one of our outstanding partners for The Allwood Sale - Mitatvite can offer real assistance to all breeders who put a premium on the health and well-being of the yearlings they produce.
